Grandstands for people with disabilities (wheelchair)

The team presentation on Thursday at Burgplatz, followed by the tour of the 198 cyclists through the old town to Apollo-Platz, can be viewed by wheelchair users from an area directly in front of the stage at Burgplatz. Seats are also available there for escorts.

Sign language interpreters and reporting for the blind

For the team presentation, a sign language interpreter and a reporter for the blind will also be available at Burgplatz.

Travelling by public transport

The underground station Heinrich-Heine-Allee close to Burgplatz is barrier-free. For further information on barrier-free stops of the Rheinbahn, see www.rheinbahn.de/kontakt/Barrierefreiheit

Under www.rheinbahn.de/tour, all the possible connections and journey times are available about a month in advance.

Sanitary facilities for the disabled

Barrier-free sanitary facilities are available around the event area.

Help and information for people with disabilities

On all the days of the event, a total of 2,400 volunteers will be available to provide help and advice at the disabled facilities, at prominent hubs and in the entire event area. The overview plans on the disabled facilities and the presentations on this website thus help all visitors, with or without disabilities, to find their way around at the Grand Départ.

If you have questions about the facilities for people with disabilities at the Grand Départ-weekend, Bernhard Reimann is available on the phone number +49 211 - 8928916 (Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, and on 1 and 2 July from 9 am to 8 pm).
